Ways To Memorialize A Loved One After Cremation

    April 24, 2023
    cremation services

One of the nice things about cremation services is that once you take care of your loved one’s needs with that process, you can memorialize them in any way you want as you move forward. Many people have memorial services, for example, and others choose a final resting place that they feel is just right. Here are a few ways you might personally memorialize your loved one.

    Wear Memorial Jewelry

Cremated remains can be split in many different ways. You might bury some, scatter some, or even place some in a piece of cremation jewelry. Putting a few remains in a jewelry piece can allow you to wear your loved one close to your heart. You can keep a piece of them with you at all times and it’s an honorable way to remember them. You can even have several pieces, or you can get pieces for other family members.

    Create A Piece Of Art

Your loved one’s remains can be mixed into many things, like paint or even clay. You can create a piece of art that actually includes your loved one’s ashes. Or, you can leave their ashes in an urn and create a piece of art in their memory. That piece is going to be something special that will let you memorialize them in a way that is unique to your personality.

    Plant A Memorial Tree

One thing that many people do is plant a tree for their loved ones. As you watch that tree grow and thrive, you will think of them. You can scatter your loved one’s ashes around that tree, bury them beneath it, or their resting place can be somewhere else. Planting that memorial tree can be something you do with family and dedicate to them.

    Scatter Ashes Somewhere Special

Once you place your loved one in their final resting place, it can give you a sense of peace that they are in a nice place. Scatter their ashes somewhere special that means something to them. That will help you to feel like you gave them something special and that location will be a place you can visit in the future when you want to think of them as well.

    Start A Memorial Garden

Memorial gardens can be special locations that can remind you of your loved one, too. They can take a lot of time to create, but they can also be a worthwhile way to honor someone. You can include family members in the process and build the garden together or you can create something small on your own.

When you have cremation services for a loved one, it’s important to consider how you are going to memorialize your loved one after the cremation process. There’s no timeline on how you do things, which is a nice thing about cremation. You can have a memorial service or decide on how to memorialize your loved one at any time. There are lots of options and you can do several things if you choose to do so.
